Governmental Entities

Our firm has a long history of representing governmental entities. We advise both public and private actors on a variety of government-related legal matters, draft local and state legislation, and represent clients in litigation. The attorneys who practice in this area have extensive knowledge of the powers and liabilities of governmental actors and have represented clients in a variety of substantive areas, including civil rights matters, public sector employment disputes, land use and zoning matters, and claims of injury to person or property by governmental employees. Among other governmental entities, our attorneys have represented Carroll County, the Carroll County Board of Education, the Carroll County Solid Waste Management Authority, the City of Villa Rica, and the City of Bowdon. Additionally, we have represented many governmental entities as local counsel in the issuance of revenue and development bonds.
