While at Georgia State University, Ms. Haynes was the Chief Justice of the Honor Court, an officer of the Student Health Law Association, and a member of the Christian Legal Society. She was also a member of the Student Trial Lawyers Association, in which her team placed first in the William W. Daniel National Mock Trial Competition. She was the recipient of awards for outstanding achievement in Elder Law, Unincorporated Business Associations and Health Legislation & Advocacy. In addition, Ms. Haynes was honored as the recipient of the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys Fellowship. She worked at the Georgia Hospital Association and volunteered at the Health Law Partnership (HeLP, a collaboration of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and Georgia State University's College of Law). Since joining Tisinger Vance, P.C., Ms. Haynes has served as a community volunteer for HeLP in a pro bono matter.

Ms. Haynes participated in the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Academy.
